I'm planning to illustrate a book about 4th graders. Do you know of any resources or tips for drawing this age group? Also, drawing for this age group: what is appealing, what sorts of art do middle grade eyes tend to enjoy looking at?

Any artistic style is welcome as I haven't decided on an approach yet. Links to your own work or a favorite illustrator of children would be awesome.

My favorite would probably be Ellie McDoodle, by Ruth Barshaw. It's aimed at that age group and is sketchbook-style.
