Final Exams. Filing taxes. Life is sometimes full of things we'd rather not do. In 75 words or less, set the scene for a character in your story who faces a task of a less than thrilling nature. It can be wackyor serious--don't use our examples above--come up with your own. Does the character get out of the task? Or line up with the task? How? Is the anticipation worse than the actuality? Entries will be judged on creativity--make us laugh, or cry, or think, or all three--but make it ORIGINAL. Turn the idea of something you'd rather not do on its head. DEADLINE Winners will be posted on Friday, May 16th.
