The
GREAT RACE draws to a close. Take us there in 50 words or less.

to announce that our winner is Danielle Cope-Sullivan,
the proud recipient of a free year of membership with the SCBWI!
Thanks
to all who participated in our contest. A new contest will be posted on

WINNER
Pain engulfed David's knee
as he neared the finish. Victory within reach, the stiletto heel suddenly
snapped off his left sandal. A blur of pink chiffon passed him as he crumpled
to the ground. Scrambling to his feet, he crossed the line, proudly finishing
2nd in the Annual Drag Race.
Danielle Cope-Sullivan is
a happily married (12 years) with one son (9 years old), whom she adores.
A Police, Fire, & EMS dispatcher, Sunday School teacher, and active
volunteer at her son's school, Danielle is also an "aspiring"
author who LOVES to write (translation: loves to write, but because she's
too darn chicken to submit her works to publishers, she's never been published,
therefore... "aspiring"...).
