eligibility
& requirements
• To participate in the Portfolio Display only,
you must be a Full-Time Conference Attendee.
• To participate in the Portfolio Display AND Juried
Competition for prizes, you must be a Full-Time Attendee
and an SCBWI member.
• Art must be appropriate for Children’s Books
& Magazines, etc.
• Size for portfolio: book form with plastic sleeves
in which can fit 8½” x 11” color copies
of original art.
• No large and/or framed art allowed.
• No original art, please—quality reprints
of your work only.
prizes
•
Grand Prize: Expense-paid trip to New York to meet with
interested art directors.
• 2nd Prize: Cash Prize, and work featured on SCBWI
website.
• 3rd Prize: Cash Prize, and work featured on SCBWI
website.
judging
•
Published & unpublished will be judged together.
• Participant will NOT need to select a category.
• Your portfolio should reflect your best style, and
should include only your very best images.
what
to bring
• Portfolio (as described above)
• Promotional cards (about 50)
• Business cards (if applicable)
• Dummy – attached to portfolio with ribbon/string.
registration
In
order to participate, indicate on the registration
page that you will be submitting a portfolio for display.
On Friday, August 4th, at morning registration, you will
need to check in with the Portfolio Desk.

Time: Saturday, August 2nd, between 9am and NOON.

Time: Saturday, August 2nd, at 7pm, SHARP.
