Her illustrations have been published in Appleseeds and Cicada Magazines, and she writes regularly for Skating Magazine. Recently, she has been working on a biography of US figure skating champion Johnny Weir and a non-fiction picture book about 19th-century Maine. Sarah was recently awarded the 2007 Ann Barrow Scholarship from the New England chapter of SCBWI. She was the runner-up for the 2006 SCBWI Work-in-Progress Grant, the runner-up for the 2003 Don Freeman Memorial Grant-in-Aid, and a winner at the 2003 New York Showcase at the SCBWI Mid-year conference.
