ABOUT CHIDI NDUBUEZE

  • I am currently working on a series of children’s stories that  reinforce unity, team-work, patience, positive self-esteem, altruism, resilience, forgiveness, and hard-work, among others. I was born and raised in Africa where I completed high school, and obtained a Bachelors Degree in English and Literary Studies, before relocating to the United States. My husband and I are raising our 4 children here in Oklahoma. I hold a Masters Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Licensed Alcohol Drug Mental Health Counselor (LADC/MH). I feel excited about this project that I am currently working on – tapping back into my heritage and writing story books for children. I grew up listening to my mother tell us stories after dinner, under the moonlight, stories that helped shape me. I am sharing the same experience with our children now, and feel delighted to share the African oral tradition with other children and families from around the world.
