ABOUT CHIDI NDUBUEZE
I am currently working on a series of children’s stories that reinforce unity, team-work, patience, positive self-esteem, altruism, resilience, forgiveness, and hard-work, among others. I was born and raised in Africa where I completed high school, and obtained a Bachelors Degree in English and Literary Studies, before relocating to the United States. My husband and I are raising our 4 children here in Oklahoma. I hold a Masters Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Licensed Alcohol Drug Mental Health Counselor (LADC/MH). I feel excited about this project that I am currently working on – tapping back into my heritage and writing story books for children. I grew up listening to my mother tell us stories after dinner, under the moonlight, stories that helped shape me. I am sharing the same experience with our children now, and feel delighted to share the African oral tradition with other children and families from around the world.
There are so many lessons to learn from the many stories we tell.
