ABOUT HEATHER L. MONTGOMERY

  • Heather Montgomery writes nature and science books and articles for children. She has served the Southern Breeze region since 2007 in multiple roles including organizing outings for nature writers, coordinating critique groups, and Assistant Regional Advisor. 

    Heather’s twelve books include: HOW RUDE! REAL BUGS WHO WON’T MIND THEIR MANNERS (Scholastic, 2015), WILD DISCOVERIES: WACKY NEW ANIMALS (Scholastic 2013), WHY DO MY TEETH FALL OUT? (Picture Window Books, 2010)  and RATTLESNAKES (Capstone, 2011). She is published in Highlights for Children, Science World, and Know: The Science Magazine for Curious KidsHeather has a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Environmental Education. She lives in northern Alabama with her husband, her dog, her cat and loads of wildlife.
