ABOUT MIRA BARTOK

  • Mira Bartok is an artist, editor and author for both children and adults. She has written over 25 books for children and her poetry, fiction and non-fiction for adults has appeared in numerous literary journals, commercial magazines and anthologies, including The Massachusetts Review, Kenyon Review, MORE Magazine and others. Her New York Times best-selling memoir, The Memory Palace (Simon & Schuster) won the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Award for autobiography and is currently under negotiation for a feature film option.She is also the founder of Mira’s List, a website for people in the arts seeking grants, residencies and fellowships (http://www.miraslist.com). Her latest project, an illustrated middle grade fantasy, The Wonderling, was the 2014 runner up book for the SCBWI Work-in-Progress Grant for general fiction.
