SCBWI Tribute Fund Established

The SCBWI Board of Advisors is pleased to announce the creation of the SCBWI Tribute Fund to commemorate the lives of members of the children's book community and their families and friends. Donations may be made in three categories:

1. In Memory of
2. In Honor of
3. To Celebrate

SCBWI will establish the fund with an initial contribution and will continue to contribute annually. When SCBWI members suffer losses, or wish to honor a member or celebrate a special event, the fund may be added to by SCBWI members and friends. Also, when the children's book community suffers losses, such as the recent deaths of several respected members, SCBWI may make an additional contribution to the fund in their memory. Honorees and their families will be notified. All contributions are tax deductible.

When sufficient amounts have accumulated in the fund, they will be used for scholarships to the SCBWI international conferences, donations to needy libraries, mentorships or other worthy activities benefitting the children's book community.
