Bio:

As an elementary student I attended my school’s annual Young Author’s Conference. Students spent weeks writing and illustrating stories to be shared with classmates. Conference day was filled with storytelling, theater performances, and a picnic lunch. It was my favorite day of the year! I knew from then on that I wanted to be a writer, and still have every book I wrote. I wish to inspire young authors the way I was. With that goal in mind I have created my Young Author’s Workshop. Workshop is designed to inspire students to write using fun and educational tips of the trade.

I find inspiration for my writing everyday as a wife and mother of 5. I love to laugh and see imagination come to life and my family helps me do that everyday. I am the author of Why Can’t Every Day Be Halloween? and currently serve as the regional advisor for my SCBWI chapter.

Presentation Description:

My interactive writing workshops are designed to spark creativity and improve writing skills.

As an elementary student I participated in my school’s annual Young Author’s Conference. Students spent weeks writing and illustrating books to share with classmates. The entire day was dedicated to reading, writing, and performing arts. It was my favorite day of the year! I developed a love of writing that has never left me. It is my desire to create this feeling in today’s youth with my Young Author’s Workshop. This workshop is designed to inspire students to write through fun and education tips of the trade.
