BIPOC Scholarship

 

All expense paid tuition to the Summer Conference for Black, Indigenous, and People of color. Twenty-five scholarships are available – five reserved for women of color. This award is sponsored by Christopher Paul Curtis.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 

 

For the Summer Conference, twenty-five scholarships will be awarded to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color – five will be served for Women of Color. All applicants must be current SCBWI members. 

 

Please post the following information in the submission form:  

A statement about why you want to attend the conference.

A one-sentence logline describing your current manuscript or illustration project.

Mark the box if you identify as a woman. Five of the twenty-five scholarships are reserved for women.

If you are a BIPOC illustrator, you may also qualify for the Ezra Jack Keats Award. Tick the box on the form to be considered for one of these scholarships.
