I can't find a "General discussion" board in the forum to put this question, so I am pasting it here,
Is Winter 2022 before or after Spring 2022 in the publishing industry? I suppose Winter 2022 is at the beginning of 2022. Correct?

That would be my understanding.

hue, I'm not sure. My Ten Easter Eggs was released Jan 2015 and they called it a spring 2015 release. You should probably check with your publisher whether it's a Nov/Dec 2022 release or Jan 2022. It's quite a difference!

Thank you! I thought it was industry-standard since Publishers Weekly often uses phrases such as "Winter 2022" or "Summer 2023", but it seems not ... I'll double-check with publishers then.

Check with your publisher and get a month.
When I worked at a small Canadian publisher in the 70s, the Spring-Summer catalogue of the year came first and the Fall-Winter came second. Spring-Summer was January to August; Fall-Winter was September to December.

In my experience, Winter comes between the Fall and Spring seasons. Generally, Fall refers to August-November, and Spring to February-May. Winter 2022 would USUALLY mean December 2022 through February 2023. To further complicate things, the seasons can overlap...
So as others have said, check with your publisher to confirm the actual date.
