Title: Japanese Calligraphy Translation or Suggestion
Post by: Traci @ITD on June 30, 2017, 09:45 AM
I'm illustrating a book about Ruth Asawa a Japanese American artist and need to include some Japanese calligraphy in one of the scenes. I have an image of Ruth working on one of her sculptures with some Japanese calligraphy art in the background. Would anyone among this wonderful group be able to translate that for me?

Also I'd love any suggestions on what specific words would be taught in a Japanese calligraphy class. Is there a specific meaningful word that is used most often or is particularly beautiful to fill the page of the book.

Thanks a bunch for an insights.
