Defining Newbie status

Discussion started on

Hi there

Super dummies question. I've been a member since 2006. There was some glitch with my profile or email, so I had to create a new profile about 3 years ago. Is there any way I can manually alter the term 'newbie'?  It's not an important question, but it does make my posts clearer to follow. Cheers Pete.

Hi Peter, It totally depends on post count. You'll automatically become a poster at 25 posts.

Cool. I guess the system can't credit the earlier posts from the now defunct profile. No worries. I'll get posting. Cheers Pete

Something else to keep in mind is that if members don't log in at least every few months, their profiles are in danger of being deleted. So even if you don't have anything specific to post, stopping by and logging in will keep you current.

Thanks Marissa

I think that's where I came unstuck - not logging in enough. Quite often I disappear from the map - particularly when writing a trilogy under pressure from a publisher - so I guess it's just a case of diary or sticky notes. Pete
