Hi and welcome to the new SCBWI Blueboards! We're so happy to be joining forces with Verla Kay's community.  Together we can discuss issues in our field, share information, and get to know one another.  Of course, for all creators of children's books, to know us is to love us.  Both Steve and I will be very present on the boards and we're eager to participate in the discussions and hear what's on your mind and offer any wise or unwise advice we have.

For anyone who isn't familiar with SCBWI, Lin and Steve are the co-founders of this wonderful world-wide organization for children's writers and illustrators. We (those of us who are so fond of the Blueboard) are extremely fortunate to have Lin and Steve and their incredible organization supporting our Blueboard.

Woohoo! After a few false starts with my password, I made it. Congratulations to Verla and everyone who made this happen. I'm sure there are still transition issues being worked out, but I hope you can breathe a small sigh of relief. It looks great!

After several tries the SCBWI login finally accepted me! Yay! It's good to see the Blueboards back and a part of SCBWI! Right now there's a lot of wait time when trying to read topics and several notices that the server is not able to connect. I'm sure all the glitches will be ironed out soon!

Poor Josh is working around the clock on those very issues, Cathie, along with helping to get people onto the board that can't get in. (Yes, there are some still wandering around out there. We are doing our best to find you and get you aboard, people. Hang on to your life rafts!)

Well this is a surprise! I didn't realise a merger was afoot. Handy for those of us who are both SCBWIers and Blueboarders. Well done!

Poor Sarah though, she can't find the secret entrance. If she doesn't get in soon we're going to have to organise care packages to send to her on Twitter. :flowers2

Yay for the new SCBWI Blueboards!  And yay for Mindy helping me get here when I obviously didn't follow directions very well before the switch. 

I think we were all feeling a bit lost without the Blueboards. Excited to see everyone here!
