I am SOOOO excited to have found this site:

http://www.dailyscript.com/index.html

I printed out two scripts from movies I was familiar with both the movie and the book. I am going to watch those movies TONIGHT and follow along with the script. I think this will help me immeasurably in adapting my novel.

I'm very excited! They had the script to my favorite movie of all time! I can't believe it!  I'm off to learn!  :giddyup

Daily script is really great.  I'm doing a telenovela within a novel, and it really helped to find old episodes.

OMG OMG, I am having such a GREAT time with this!

I was reading Possession and can't BELIEVE how different the script is from the movie. I mean, entirely different TONE! But both are GREAT! It's really humbling, and in many ways freeing, to realize what I write is going to be changed so much. I mean, I don't have to think about what they will do to it, I can just write it the way I think it should be. It really is just a skeleton and could be fleshed out so many possible ways.

I don't think I'm going to sleep for a while! I am so jazzed! I can't believe I just got sucked in to yet another interpretation of a book I love!

It shows just how much film is truly a collaborative art.
I was just reading 40-year-old Virgin and for the waxing scene Andy just screams a few times and gives up halfway through - meanwhile, the finished scene is so hilarious! "We're gonna need more wax!" (And yes, refering to 40YOV as 'art' is a bit of a stretch, I know, but it is funny as poo!)
Thanks for the link!

YAChicka, since this is the screenwriting section, I have to comment on how much you resemble the actress Diane Lane in your new avatar picture.

It's eerie!  And cute! ;D

Okay, back to business now...
