Recha Sternbuch

Discussion started on

Let us forever celebrate the towering legacy of Recha Sternbuch, a Swiss woman of Polish heritage, who was one of the most courageous and successful rescuers of Jews during the Holocaust. She saved many thousands of lives, in actions that were often of great risk to herself.

I'm ashamed to say that I just became aware of her.

I've never heard of her either. (And I'm Jewish with a son learning all about the Holocaust in Hebrew school this year.) Perhaps she'd be a good topic for a children's book.

Debbie, I think she'd be a wonderful deserving subject.

Perhaps you'll be the person to write it. All my nonfiction is on spec as a freelancer. I'm not a huge fan of research.
