Self Publishing PICTURE BOOKS

Discussion started on

Howdy! Can anyone direct me to a thread on self-publishing (POD) picture books specifically. It appears that the queries about PB POD are pushed over to the Self Publishing topic but there are some unique aspects of PB publishing. I like to think of PB's as art books and so am concerned with the quality and types of paper available for both page and cover. (Personally, I am looking for a heavy matte or low gloss paper.)
Anyone have any insights, suggestions or thoughts?

Great timing of your question. Darcy Pattison just wrote about it:  https://www.indiekidsbooks.com/p/working-with-pod-printers?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=cta   Her website is a great resource too: https://www.darcypattison.com/
