Some of my favourite authors, as in I'll read anything I see by them, are Chris Bohjalian, Beth Gutcheon and Julia Glass.  All the Light and A Gentleman in Moscow are definitely among my "best books" of the past few years!

The English Garden Mystery Series by  Anthony Englin.  It was a good book and somewhat fun and easy to read if you like anything to do with gardening you might like these mysteries.  I read the one with the words The Blue Rose in the title.

Everyone is on the LOVECRAFT COUNTRY hype train because of the show, but I sincerely thought the book was the best thing I read last year. The show isn't bad, but the book is awesome.

Recently read Johnathon Strange & Dr. Norrell (I think that's the right title).  Interesting novel and I thought I'd like it more than I did.  But I didn't care for the misspellings especially the word show - shew.  Liked the names of the characters.  Thought it was a bit long without really any good reason for such a war on magic at all and a lot of the magic was not an answer nor did it really have  a reason for it, too.
