Backmatter in kids' graphic novels

Discussion started on

Does anyone know of any kids Graphic Novels (e.g. Noodleheads, etc.) that have backmatter in them?

I'm thinking of doing something like this.  (Temporary link.) Please see the second spread

Hi Alan. I clicked on your link, but the page that came up was blank.

It worked for me.

I don't see any reason why back matter wouldn't be in a graphic novel. There are nonfiction graphic works. Having nonfiction show up in the middle of the story might seem odd though. I'd need to see more to see if I think it's working. But that would still just be one opinion.

I tried opening it on my laptop and it worked. My desktop has been a little glitchy today.

I don't see any reason why you can't include back matter in a graphic novel, but it could be tricky to combine fiction and non-fiction on the same page with no warning. Perhaps a note at the beginning explaining that fiction panels are illustrated and non-fiction panels are photos would help. You can probably think of other alternatives.
