DRAGON won't be arriving in bookstores until October, but the great reviews have started rolling in. Maybe if we ask her very nicely she'll share a few sentences from the Kirkus review she just received.

Yeah, I did notice. At first I didn't "recognize" her! :D I'd love to hear the buzz.

Thanks, you guys--and to Mrs. Jones for starting this thread. The book will be reviewed in the Oct 1 issue of Kirkus. Um, the main character is "likeable," the book gives readers "food for thought," and I make "a gutsy move" which "works."

Rebecca, is this a YA that would suit many younger readers too, say 11 and 12 year-olds, or do you see it more for teens?

Hey, Lenzi--It was written and edited as YA but is being marketed as MG. Kirkus says its for 10-14. Random House says 9-12. Me? I have no clue!

Then I'll mention it to the 9-14 year-olds on the Cricket chat website. A reader started a thread about my Icelandic story, saying how much they love stories about Norse gods, and I wanted to give them some recommendations. I bet they will love your novel!

I'm so curious to find out about the "gutsy move that worked"! I wish Oct. 26 would come faster.

I admire you for being able to keep a good Kirkus review to yourself! I'm curious about your 'gutsy move' too.
