Does anyone know of any software, programs, websites, or templates even, to help with meter when writing a rhyming PB? I think I write pretty decent rhyme, but polishing my meter is another story. I was hoping someone might know of something to help me plug in what I've written and see my meter so that I can see exactly where I need to fix it. I realize I can do this myself, but it would be nice (and faster!) if there was a program to help and cut out some of the steps. ::)
Just curious, and hopeful! I appreciate any help!

I don't know of any software, but Dori Chaconas has a great website with a detailed tutorial: http://www.dorichaconas.com/Icing%20the%20Cake%20page.htm
I also like the book: Poem Making by Myra Cohn Livingston

There are a bunch of resources listed on this page as well as some other info: https://www.scbwi.org/boards/index.php?topic=72674.0. I hope this helps.

Actually, a few years ago I tried to find a program, and they exist, sort of. Yet not really. I wish I could remember details. The only thing I recall is a university (I think) offered a program, or maybe it was a prof offering it independently. It wasn't fail-safe, and if it wasn't, what was the point...?
Geez, I even read a mind-numbing PDF file of epic length from a conference regarding what was currently offered along with the prospects of developing programs for meter.
If you Google it, you'll find some things. I just wouldn't count on reliability of a program. That said, a few years have passed and something more reliable may now be offered.
Best wishes in your search. Let us know if you find anything solid...or even promising.

I just had a thought. The best option here is often to listen to someone reading it out loud. Anyplace where they stumble needs work. Select someone with no sense of rhythm.
