I was wondering if someone could recommend a good story editor who has experience with humorous picture books.  Thanks in advance!

Brian, in SCBWI's "The Book" there's a section listing freelance editors and "book doctors." I'm listed in it, but I'm not putting myself forward in particular. All the people there are vetted by SCBWI.

Welcome to the Blueboards. Story editors are great as a near last step in the process. First, if you haven't done so already, please consider a critique group. There are places on the board where you can find them and where SCBWI members can post manuscripts or sections for critique. Your region may also be able to help you locate a great critique group. That way you're as ready as you can be before you pay an editor. You don't want to ending up paying more than once.

Well, I didn't feel comfortable recommending myself! I also know the people listed are ALL good, and sometimes it's good to be able to compare and contrast.

I worked with Tamson Weston a few years ago. She is fantastic and has worked with some heavy hitters who do humorous PBs (Adam Rex, Mac Barnett) when she was an in-house editor.
