Not sure if this belongs here, or under The Craft Of Writing....

Is there a resource that shows an example of an author's PB draft compared to the final copy?

There are scores of examples for sentence/paragraph revisions/re-writes, but I'd love to compare a...full monty.

That would be a great resource! But if you published the final draft, you'd be publishing the story online... I bet you could find this in a workshop class but I wouldn't publish a whole story like that.

Even so, and even if only one existed, yeah...it'd likely be found in a workshop.

Arona, WRITING IT RIGHT! by Sandy Asher is amazing for the revision process and she includes a lot of examples of submitted, revised and polished work. I highly recommend it.

You know, I think my soon-to-be-published PB has been through less huge changes than some other manuscripts that have not made it to print! It's funny how it worked out. I still have a few I'm reworking in hope that the magic will be there...
