The answer is probably staring me in the face but I cannot figure out how to minimize (or remove entirely) the eight lines of icons that show between the formatting buttons and the box in which one types.

I'm here talking about what the screen looks like when writing a new post.

Marica, click on your screen name in the upper right, and under Modify Profile click Look and Layout.

In the second line on the Profile page, click the dropdown menu under Current Smiley Set. Choose No Smileys, scroll to the bottom, and click Change Profile.

If you already have a reply box open, refresh that page.

That should do it!

My smileys have disappeared, and nothing has changed in my settings (still set to show them). Don't know if anyone else is having this issue.

I'm told we had a minor outage that Josh has fixed. Glad this seems to be the case.
