Thank you. These are good. Can you also think of some questions that could work for a specific book? So far I have discussing the theme, pov, characters, and what was or wasn't successful about the beginning and ending.

What did the illustrator bring in that wasn't obvious from the text?

Is the rule of three used? If so, how?

Does the ending reflect the beginning in some way?

How has the character changed?

Is the setting a character? How would the book have to change if time or place changed?

For informational texts, why might the author have chosen to use fiction elements instead of writing straight nonfiction?

What other books does this remind you of? Why?
