Title: Off-topic board
Post by: Gatz on December 12, 2020, 11:02 AM
Hi,

Is there still a place to ask a question not related to kids' writing?

Thanks.

Maybe research? I'll let the admins weigh in on this.

No, darn it. It's one of the boards we had to delete to stay within SCBWI's directive to streamline the board.

I do like how Vijaya thinks, however. Research hasn't had much traffic at all lately so if you just happen to have a question about something you're thinking about maybe writing sometime in the future if you get around to it, it might be a while before the mod for that board gets around to noticing. :whistle

Thanks.

No, it's not a research question. Just a stupid little question about nothing much.

Gatz, I will miss your random questions and Thundering Elephants' talk of the treats she makes. But I do understand why we had to trim. The boards were overwhelmingly huge, especially to new people.

I like the way Anne thinks too. Please feel free to post in Research, Gatz.

Yes, I like the idea of research too -- it's a catch-all for writers, no? :)

 "little question about nothing much"
Already that sounded like a catchy title for a book :)
I'd say it's possible to assume anything and everything...random observations, thoughts, questions, can relate to "research" in some way, to a writer.
I'd go for it under research Gatz and just see what happens!
I too like the way Vijaya AND Anne's minds work  :muahaha
