Just came across this and looks like a wonderful resource for our Australian children's book writers and illustrators.

From SCBWI Insight today for those who missed it:

ā€œ Haunted States Update

A big THANK YOU to all the authors who sent in stories for the sixteen states that were low on submissions. We are almost done reading the hundreds of stories we received and will send out notifications soon. Thank you for your patience!ā€

Nothing in my inbox. I submitted for Oregon. Hard not to check obsessively!

Contests and Challenges / #KidLitCritiqueDay
« Last post by Jenny on May 02, 2022, 04:02 PM »

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in the upcoming #KidLitCritiqueDay

Kidlit Critique Day will be on July 15. It's a day to help connect picture book writers with critique partners and groups. It's also a chance to win picture book critiques from authors, illustrators, and industry professionals.

I'm looking for agented and or traditionally published pb authors to offer critiques. If you participate, I'll make sure to hype and promote any books you have out.

You can set the details and parameters of the critique.

Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.

I would especially love to have lgbt+ and bipoc writers participate.
