Book suggestions for budding reader

Hi All,

My son is 6 and this weekend he found the Mighty Robot series by Dave Pilkey. He is flying through them and will probably have read all of our library's selections by the end of today.

I need some ideas for what series might be good to check out next.  I think the Mighty Robots are right at his reading level so they are building his reading confidence. This is the most excited he has been about reading and I would like to keep the ball rolling. Any suggestions of a similar series or a slightly more challenging one would be great.

He loves space and robots.

What do you guys think?

Our son liked Barbara Park's Junie B. Jones series. And our daughter read the A-Z Mysteries at that age, although she was an early reader.

He is so excited to move from the "readers" section to the "fiction" section of the library.  It's like he is all grown up now.

Mary Amato's Riot Brother series has the same mentality of Captain Underpants without quite as much potty humor. My boys LOL  -- loudly.
