I had such a hard time choosing this year. Here's my list for my growing troop of nieces and nephews. The downside of having a huge family: I'm going to go broke buying books! The upside: I get to pick out and pass along LOTS of great books!! The upside definitely wins.

For the youngest:
CHARLIE PARKER PLAYED BEBOP by Chris Raschka
SIDEWALK FLOWERS by Jon Arno Lawson
GABRIELLA'S SONG by Candace Fleming
IMOGENE'S ANTLERS by David Small
For the middles:
100 DRESSES by Eleanor Estes
THE GREAT ESCAPE by Kate Egan
ROLLER GIRL by Victoria Jamieson
MILLIONS by Frank Cottrell Boyce
ELIJAH OF BUXTON by Christopher Paul Curtis
For the teens:
MANIAC MCGEE by Jerry Spinelli
STARGIRL by Jerry Spinelli
SISTERS by Raina Telgemeier
THE MARTIAN by Andy Weir
WHEN YOU REACH ME by Rebecca Stead
