This is a curiosity: What do you look for in reviews? And do you think the ethos of "show, don't tell" also applies in reviewing?
My cousin is a blogger & professional journalist who mastered film & media & has her own film review page. I took a break today & read two of her reviews & began to wonder if the art of critique applies the same ethos of writing: show, don't tell". The review practically gave the entire film plot away.
What do you look for?
