Hi all,

I have published a blog post on women in translation in US kidlit, as part of the #kidlitwomen conversation, on the official SCBWI blog:

http://scbwi.blogspot.com/2018/03/on-women-in-translation-guest-post-by.html

I took a look at Batchelder Award/Honor winners over the past 50 years, and Cooperative Children's Book Center translation logs since 1994, and learned,

*Translations likely to be accessed by US children feature women authors, who are predominantly writing in European languages.

*Translations for children are still vanishingly few.

For those interested, I list 3 posts to browse, 3 hashtags to try, and 3 lists from which to buy or borrow #worldkidlit. If you're interested, please join the conversation! #translationthurs
