Hello everyone,

I am a children’s book author and illustrator in the making. I thought in the future when my children’s book dummy is good and I have a great children’s book illustration portfolio I could send a proposal to an children’s book author to be their illustrator. I just wanted to know what should be included in the proposal.

FYI There's a good article up on NFFest.com from yesterday about finding comp books. Nonfiction or fiction PBs, the process of finding comp books is similar.

I do share a lot of info on Twitter, plus tips and teasers as the judges and I go through the entries...and there's a daily discussion prompt there, but you enter through a Google form.

I do have a Facebook group to share reminders, info, and right now groups are forming for genre-oriented ranking parties to help participants figure out which manuscript to enter. Here's a link, if you're interested (but FB isn't required either). https://www.facebook.com/groups/689893392456709
