We're not picking on you and you did nothing wrong! As far as we can tell, it's an Unintended (and Annoying) Consequence as we clear out outdated and redundant topics.

We're also removing the automatic locks on  threads we're keeping; this just means that the threads can be posted on again even if they're a few years old. If you were one of the members who had Anonymous posting privileges, your identity is still concealed on Anonymous posts that have been unlocked.

If you're receiving these emails, it's probably because you have Notifications enabled in your profile settings. Click on the arrow to the right of your name at the top of the screen, select Modify Profile/Account Settings/Modify Profile (yes, again), and then Notifications.

Uncheck any of the four boxes that has a :check in it, and then click the Save Settings button. That should solve the "Why are you :ranting flooding my InBox" problem.

If you haven't been active for a while and can't get into your profile, use the Contact a Moderator link at the top of the page (if you're on a laptop). On a phone or tablet it's probably in a drop-down menu.

Bumping, because we're going to be :sweeping outdated posts for a while yet, meaning weeks, not days.

Bumping, because we're still moving boards around, removing outdated posts, unlocking others that were automatically locked after a certain time, and in some cases lopping off tangents and other posts that didn't add new information made a given thread overlong.

Thanks for your patience -- we ought to be through the worst of the :sweeping in another couple of weeks.
