Even though the description on the home page says "Here's the place to chat about books you love and hate", the usual rules of engagement still apply, especially regarding the "hate" part.
Remember to keep the discussion focused on the
book, not the author, and on specifics rather than generalities.
You also might want to keep in mind that the authors of the books you're discussing could very well be Blue Board members...and if the authors aren't, their editors or agents might be. You'd be surprised how many publishing professionals lurk here without posting. This is not to discourage you from giving a book a negative review -- it's just one more reason to stick to specifics.

Also, please refrain from speculating about the author's motives, personality,

, mental well-being, and/or parentage. "Money-grubbing spawn of Satan," for example, would not be in the spirit of the Blueboards.
Discussions that cross the line will be edited or

:, and while the mods involved usually will give you a chance to adjust the tone first, or notify you about an action taken, they're not obliged to do so.
Also: For copyright reasons we can't permit you to post the full text of a review from another source. It's OK to link to the review or include a fully credited excerpt, but a post that includes the full text of a review will be deleted, probably without notice.
