I read through all of PBU last night and will be getting books to do the activities this weekend. This was a wonderful intro (and more) for those of us still slightly new to writing picture books.
I'm learning something new each day. In fact, I went into the bookstore yesterday and looked at a few of the newer ones. For some reason, I thought picture books all started on the right-hand page (like novels do). I'd never taken notice how picture books actually start out with a full spread.
This is helpful in that I see where I need to juggle things around so my tension and pauses/page turns are in the right spots.
