I thought some Ferdinand fans here might enjoy this video of The Story of Ferdinand read with accompanying classical guitar music.

My dad is a talented Suzuki-trained classical guitar instructor and this is one of his friends playing.

Enjoy!

Cute! Lovely guitar playing too.

This made me wonder - what's the score with reading out loud someone else's work on a site like YouTube? When is it okay and not okay?

That's a great question, and one that I, obviously, hadn't thought about!

Anyone?

I wonder if it's okay if the author's passed away? I noticed there were lots of other Ferdinand videos too (none as good as yours!). It would strike me as free advertising for the book but I'm sure there'd be other authors who'd strongly disagree with me!

Want to give Franzilla's question some attention.

I'd like to know. Anyone who can tell me the legalities/doability/whathaveyou's of reading another author's work online and adding to it?

I've done it in a school situation... you could say that's for educational use... but I've also been recorded reading others books in a library, which they posted...

And then there are things like kids making 'book trailers' and 'animated reports' of favorite pbs...
