Mike-Karg, lady-bird sauce is simply ladybugs crushed and stewed in a little elderflower wine. I thought everyone knew that!

I thought it also had a chiffonade of marigold petals in it, Siski...?  ;)

Thank you for that link, Mike--my kids loved GOODNIGHT MOON, and I still do.

And I can still recite long bits from FOX IN SOCKS (my kids are now in college), which was another favorite in my house.
