Hello,

I've been reading a lot about how retyping PBs can help with developing your own writing so I am keen to try this. Where to start? There is so much to choose from.

At the moment, I am especially interested in non rhyming ones of not more than 500 words. I often borrow from the library (My toddler devours them - sometimes literally) but there are few new titles and not many seem to fit this bill.

I'm sure I saw a post about a website with word counts but I can no longer find it. I am beginning to question my memory of it!

Any pointers or recommendations would be very welcome,

For more new titles, you could check out a bookstore and write down your favorite titles. You can often order books to your library, too.

Diana-Thanks so much for the link to Tara Lazar's blog post describing the different types of picture book structure.  I needed that, since I am working on two stories that just don't want to conform to the traditional "rule of 3" format.
