Has Anyone Used Pitch Wars?

Discussion started on

I am thinking of using this in Feb 21. Has anyone done so, and if so, what have your experiences been like? Thanks! :goldstar

I'm not sure which contest you mean, Haunted. Pitch Wars is an annual mentoring program that began in November this year and ends in February with an agent showcase. If you scroll down on their main page you can see this year's calendar. https://pitchwars.org Those who hope to be selected actually start their prep in September when the mentors post their wish lists. Pitch Wars is very highly competitive, as they get thousands of entries for approximately a hundred slots across MG, YA, and Adult.

#PitMad is a quarterly Twitter Pitch fest that anyone can take part in, but I don't see a date of February 21 for them. https://pitchwars.org/pitmad/ It's usually March, June, September, and December. There are a number of other Twitter pitch contests, but those are organized and held by various other groups.

I competed years ago in Brenda Drake's Pitch Wars: https://pitchwars.org/ it was a wonderful experience. I worked with the mentor to polish my submission. That book hasn't sold. . . yet  :whistle but I'm still working on it.

I highly recommend the competition. It's fun and builds the creative community.
