Thanks for doing this. It's nice to have a list in one place. Don't be embarrassed. We're proud of you guys and want to support your books.  :books:

I think Lyranel's Song is a MG, not a chapter book.

For younger readers (4-8) I have a picture book at Barnes and Noble that is inexpensive.  There are several stuffed horses that you can buy separately.  The editor sent me one of them to serve as an inspiration piece - also inexpensive and very cuddly but I think the animals are only in the store - couldn't find them online:

A Pony to Love (illustrated by Mary Morgan who lives in Paris) at Barnes and Noble:

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?userid=Ft17TdgAZt&isbn=1402720181&itm=5

Or on Amazon:

Course I guess if you buy the book you'll know my secret identity - darn! (smile)   O0

Thanks for starting the list, Donna J. I would think my book is only news to the newcomers to the blue board, as I blabbed about it plenty when it came out in 2003.

Bark And Tim: A True Story of Friendship, by Audrey Glassman Vernick and Ellen Glassman Gidaro, illustrations by Tim Brown

What Faith Ringgold had to say: “A traditional tale of a boy and his dog painted by a wonderful folk artist, Tim Brown. It is simple, beautiful and touching. We learn that life goes on and fond childhood memories should always be treasured. Children of all ages will want to read it again and again.”

Also available on other online sites.

Funny, Aud! I've blabbed like crazy this year. lol!

This way all the books will be more easily found. And you bring up a good point, the book doesn't necessarily have to have been published this year. It only needs to be available!

Title: Golden
Author: Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Level: Young Adult
Categories: chick lit, supernatural

Summary: When Lissy James moves from California to Oklahoma, she finds herself in the middle of a teenage nightmare: a social scene to rival a Hollywood movie. And if understanding the hierarchy of the Goldens vs. the Nons isn’t hard enough, Lissy’s ever growing Aura Vision is getting harder and harder to hide, and if she’s not careful, she’s going to become a Non faster than you can say “freak.”

But it’s becoming clear that Emory High has a few secrets of its own. Around the halls, the term “special powers” goes way beyond one’s ability to attract the opposite sex, and there may be something more evil than the A-crowd lurking in the classrooms. Lissy can see a lot more than the average girl, but she’s about to learn the hard way that things aren’t always as they appear and you can’t always judge a girl by her lip gloss.

First of all, I just want to say THANK YOU to all who read this board and support those of us who have books out.  I truly mean it when I say, it touches me when someone says in chat or on the board or in an e-mail - hey, I bought your book today.  I try to buy a book a month from people around here, and I LOVE my collection, I have to say.

Thank you, Donna, for doing this.

Title:  Baby Can't Sleep
Written by Lisa Schroeder, Illustrated by Viviana Garofoli
Level:  Picture book

Publishers Weekly says:  First-time author Schroeder embraces a universal parental woe in a charming tale about luring baby off to dreamland. Her playful singsong rhymes seem to suggest that even the job of getting baby to sleep can be fun. Drawing upon a time-honored insomnia cure-all, she incorporates a fun twist to counting sheep (one to 10), "Bet you can't believe your eyes./ One sheep chasing fireflies." Here is where the story truly takes off: in Garfoli's (Zoom Zoom Zoom) imaginative drawings, a plush sheep springs to life and inspires a host of amusing adventures ("On the street I see five sheep./ Look, they're riding in a jeep!/ Six sheep playing basketball./ Wow, those sheep are really tall!"). The story comes full circle when the family pooch manages to calm the inconsolable baby by producing the toy sheep ("Silly sheep just love to play./ But even sheep must end their day"). This book is just right for the parent-to-be who does not yet know to relish those precious hours of uninterrupted sleep. Ages 2-4. (Dec.)

HOW WILL I EVER SLEEP IN THIS BED? (Sterling Publishing, 2005)
by Della Ross Ferreri

From the publisher:
The adjustment from crib to big-kid bed can be a bit scary.
But with a little imagination and lots of plush toys, the transition can be a smooth one.

It's time to make that move to a big-kid bed--but one little boy feels a teeny-bit intimidated. The bed seems so HUGE and empty. Who better to help fill the space than his endearing and cuddly stuffed animal friends?   He tucks in his tiger, kangaroo, bear, sheep and more, but now that the bed is filled, is there any room left for him?  This is one adorably funny bedtime story young children will love!

Here's the link to amazon:

LISTEN TO THE GHOST
by Beverly Stowe McClure
Young Adult

All Jade Dalton wants to do is show her paintings at Charleston, South Carolina's, annual Piccolo Spoleto Festival, forget her ex-boyfriend with his lying lips, and prove she's as smart as her brother, David. So how does she end up with a ghost who doesn't want to be a ghost, a one-hundred-year-old neighbor who talks in riddles, and a handsome saxophone player who changes her opinion about guys?

I'm happy to announce that the third book in THE SEER series, WITCH BALL is now available.

A 3-book set of THE SEER might make a good gift for anyone who enjoys reading about supernatural mysteries or is a fan of TV shows like GHOST WHISPERER and MEDIUM.

I have lots of background and gossipy information about THE SEER and my writing on my blog at www.LiveJournal.com/users/LindaJSingleton

What a great idea!

I've lost count of how many Blue Borders are in Blooming Tree Press' anthology, MISTLETOE MADNESS. Els did the adorable cover and she and Agy did some of the illustrations. There are stories and poetry by Linda Joy, Trish, Dystar, Ponytail Mom, and me, (did I miss anyone?) It's a nice collection and the first printing sold out last year. There are fresh copies available for this Christmas, though. :)
