Title: testing website
Post by: Traci @ITD on January 08, 2012, 09:15 AM
I've had my website up for quite a while and have never had any problems with people being able to see it. This week, I had someone trying to see my illustration portfolio to feature me and my illustration on their blog, but they were not able to see my work on my site. I'm beginning to query agents now as well, and I want to make sure my website is working. I can open it from safari and firefox on all my macs and ipad.

Would you wonderful people be willing to check out my site for me and let me know if you have any problems? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a million.

Hi, Traci,

I flipped through the whole site (and had fun doing so!) No problems whatsoever. (PC, Firefox)

I can see the site, Tracy. But when I click on the slide show for your portfolio (either the color or the B&W) nothing happens. (IE, PC)

Everything looks great! (Mac, Safari)

ETA: Double-checked and slideshows work fine, too.

Okay, this is weird.

I went to your website with IE on my PC, and your portfolio windows - both color and B&W - had no pictures. I clicked on the "slideshow" and nothing happened.

I went to it on Firefox, which I also have on my PC, and everything was fine. Both color and B&W portfolios were perfect (nice pictures!) and the slideshows worked.

Have no idea why that would happen. Maybe someone else does??

Hi Traci,
Great site!  Everything worked fine -- color, B&W, slideshow. I'm using a two year old Toshiba laptop, not sure what all's in it.

Thanks so much everyone. It looks like my site has a problem with Internet Explorer (IE). Hmm, I'm going to have to figure out why. I appreciate all your help.

Thanks Jeff and asha for taking a look.

I updated the site again with some fun news and new art. I've also simplified things in hopes that no one will have problems viewing it.

Great site! Every thing worked fine, except on the ME page the two lower pictures ran into the text. Internet Explorer.

Thank you for taking another look. Looks like I still have some fixes to do. But then, a website seems to always be a work in progress.
