J. K. Rowling is working on a novel for adults, which she is contracted to publish with Little, Brown. Wonder what it will be about? She has mentioned in the past that she would like to write mysteries. It'll be fascinating to see...

I was really excited to hear this news. To me, writing an adult crime fiction novel seems like a smart next step for her.

Yes. Her Harry Potter books had great mystery sub-plots, for one thing. For another thing, her book(s) for adults will draw a little less comparison to her HP series than if she wrote another children's book.

While I was hoping for a Harry Potter Compendium, I'll buy this book in a heartbeat. Thanks for the heads up.
