Title: LA Times Kids Reading Room?
Post by: CarrieF on April 08, 2012, 06:20 PM
Does anyone know anything about the LA Times Kids Reading Room as a market for short stories? I've seen them listed in some writers' credits, but couldn't find submission guidelines online, and then I found a recent blog post talking about the "demise" of the section, but it wasn't clear if it is completely gone, or simply cut back.

Thanks for any leads.

Hi Carrie,

Unfortunately, they're no longer a market for kids fiction. I think they may still be publishing puzzles, but no stories.

That's too bad. Thanks for the info Sara.

It's sad because there really is nothing for kids in the newspapers these days.
