Title: Looking for books for an article
Post by: Car on November 16, 2012, 02:53 PM
Hi,

I need some book titles for an article. Looking for FICTION (for grades 3-5) that tie in in some way with:

* bartering/selling things or starting a business/earning money

* traveling to another planet

The books don't have to be about these things but maybe just include them. For instance, a MC needs to earn money and opens her own dog walking business.

Edited to add: They need to be 2010 or newer, if possible.

Anyway have a book they'd like me to include or any ideas? Need them by Sunday night.

Thanks!
Car

How about Nathan Bransford's Jacob Wonderbar and the Cosmic Space Kapow. He trades a corn dog for a space ship and travels to outer space.

LAWN BOY, by Gary Paulsen, wherein the kid starts a lawn-mowing business, with hilarious consequences - 2007, though.
