Title: Submissions editor for Albert Whitman?
Post by: AmandaSue on April 03, 2013, 08:57 AM
The only thing I've been able to find says that Kathleen Tucker has retired and to address all submissions to "Submissions Editor". However, that was three years ago. Does anyone know if they have a name I can send to yet, or is it still just "Submissions Editor"?

Hi, Amanda Sue!

I used to know an editor that worked there before she left for a different house, but really, it doesn't matter. If this is an unsolicited submission without an agent, then "Submissions Editor" is who it should be addressed to. If you found a name to send it to, it would not get this read any sooner than "submissions editor." Slush is slush, whatever editor's name it has on it, I'm afraid. BUT... most people know I broke in big through slush... so I'm a big believer that it can happen through slush! I believe mine was addressed to the same editor... "submissions editor."  :-)  I hope you get the same response!   :goodluck

GOOD LUCK!!!!
