Title: Books with MCs with ADHD
Post by: Car on October 17, 2013, 11:19 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm hoping all you great readers can help me out. I'm looking for middle grade novels (other than the obvious Joey Pigza series) with main characters who have ADD/ADHD or other learning differences. What I'm really hoping to find are books that aren't "issue" books, meaning the ADHD is not central to the story. It's just something that the character has. In other words, it can affect the plot, just don't want it to be the main drive of the book.

I'm having a hard time tracking down any! (Besides my own forthcoming book, of course! LOL)

Thanks so much!

Percy Jackson is a great example of this.

The Hank Zipser (Zipzer?) series. They're funny and sweet, and the main character has dyslexia. It's a part of the story but not the focal point.
