Title: Advice YA Columnist
Post by: hairaplenty on February 22, 2015, 07:50 AM
I'm trying to find books where the MC is a Dear Abby type--I know there are some out there, but when I Google all I find are NF. Help.     :thankyou

In Meg Cabot's Teen Idol the MC was an anonymous advice columnist for her school paper (at least as I remember).

You're welcome! BTW, the teen-speak is pretty thick at the beginning of the book, but thins out a bit later on. :)

Thanks! I'll hang in.
BTW-and this is for anyone, didn't The Boyfriend List start with a column? I'm sure I've read a book about this. Maybe it was a Meg Cabot book? Anyone?     :poke

Miss Fortune Cookie, by Lauren Bjorkman.

And for an example from years ago: Dear Lovey Hart, I Am Desperate, by Ellen Conford.
