Title: Charging for Illustrations
Post by: sandra-anderson on April 24, 2015, 02:09 PM
Hi!
I've been asked by a friend to illustrate a book that she wants to self-publish and I'm wanting to know how much to charge her. It will be a "normal" size picture book, about 12-14 spreads, watercolor pencil and ink. Since she's just doing this book for her family, and not wanting to promote the book to make a profit, she's wanting to pay me a flat fee (which I am totally fine with!) What should I be charging??  I've been looking online, but I can't seem to find any helpful information. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

~Sandra
