Title: A not so negative version of "workaholic"
Post by: sophielynette on July 13, 2017, 09:44 AM
I'm trying to figure out a descriptive word that's similar to "workaholic", but without such a negative connotation.   Essentially, said person is very passionate about their work and tends to get distracted from things like self-care or family bonding.  Actually, this word could apply to me, but I swear it's for a fictional character...   :typing

Hardworking. Tireless. Conscientious.  Diligent. Good workhorse (idiomatic)   :horse2

Dedicated, committed, self-absorbed?
There's a fine line between all three but  sometimes it's a fine balance.

I agree with Type A and dedicated.
Also maybe go-getter, married to the job, singleminded, immersed, zealous, having a calling.
